In August, Lander County Manager Bert Ramos, at the direction of the county commission, requested that all of the county’s voting machines be transferred into the custody of the county manager’s office. Lander County Clerk Sadie Sullivan confirmed in an interview that the commissioners wanted to conduct a post-election review.

Following the Lander County request, the Department of Justice and Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske each sent letters to Sullivan outlining the federal guidelines on post-election audits and stating that the voting machines should not be transferred. Republican Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske has confirmed that she has not seen any evidence of “widespread fraud.” Source
